Originally from Wales, Darryl is married to Milagros and is the father of two children, both of whom attend the school. Darryl began his career as a secondary school teacher in Kenya, but has spent the last nineteen years working in and leading international schools in Kenya, Venezuela and the USA before taking up his current post as Principal in August 2012.
An IB North America workshop leader (Mathematics), academy member and accreditation officer (IB, CIS and AdvancED), Darryl balances his work in education with a passion for rugby; continually trying, and occasionally succeeding, in dispelling the myth that he is too old to play. Darryl speaks English and Spanish.

During her studies at Baylor University, she completed an educational internship in Australia, where she participated in evaluating educational programmes in Elementary Schools. Before returning to her home in Barbados, she taught 3 years in Texas. Jordana has travelled extensively and enjoys integrating her experiences into her classroom teaching. She is enthusiastically anticipating an exciting future at The Codrington School.

She was first introduced to the “IB way of life” while living in Venezuela where her children attended an IB school there. As a parent and an educator she became fully involved and has been passionate about it ever since.
When not in the classroom, she enjoys genealogical research, travelling and singing and has been involved in many choirs in Barbados, including The Cavite Chorale of the University of The West Indies, The Cecilian Singers and the Aeolian Singers. She is currently a member of the St. Cecilia Chorale and the Belle Voci Cantanti Singers.

Building a connection with her school and local community has always been important to Barbara. Through athletics and community theatre, she has had many opportunities to build strong relationships with her students and neighbours. Barbara is very much looking forward to teaching in the PYP classroom and feels that it is the perfect fit for her.
n her previous capacity as a facilitator of Special Education Services, Nadine held three concurrent positions: Head/Coordinator of the Language and Literacy Department at a secondary school in St. Lucia, MDT Assessor in the Educational Psychology Unit (District 2, Castries) and part-time University Lecturer (Teaching Developmental Reading, English Composition 1&2- emphasis on Research Writing) at the University of the Southern Caribbean. She has also taught English at private institutes across Trinidad and Tobago. Nadine strives to create a well-balanced, informative learning environment that caters to the needs of students operating at every level of the educational spectrum. As a first class honors graduate of the University of the West Indies, she espouses her Theatre in Education/Special Education training with the principles of Educational Psychology to enhance the educational experience of her students.

She returned to the UK after finishing her degree where she has been teaching for the past 20 years. During this time, she went to teach Chemistry in Brazil for 3 years and fell in love with the IB programme and its ethos and is looking forward to working with the full IB curriculum at the Codrington. In her spare time, Allison also enjoys Massage Therapy, Volunteering Work and Personal Training.
For the past six years, I have been a PYP assistant teacher mainly with PYP3 and PYP 8, collaborating with teachers to teach small groups and provide one on one assistance.
I completed a two year course in Early Childhood Education and currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.
Throughout the years I have been working at Codrington, I developed an open- minded approach, gained a wealth knowledge about the IB curriculum and the diversity in classrooms.

. He is currently undertaking research at Exeter University looking at techniques to measure and map coral reef geo-ecological change. His interests include most things oceanic and alpine, such as ski touring in the backcountry (Glacier des Amethystes). For the last 12 years Sam has offered her services throughout the Caribbean as a counselor – providing parenting support, encouraging positive communication skills, grief management and specializes in non directive therapeutic play services. Sam’s primary focus is to encourage children to reach their full potential thru developing their self confidence, world view and a strong family unit. Sam a mother of three wonderful children – enjoys horseback riding, paddle boarding, music, painting and adventure!

Donna joined the school with 14 years’ experience in the International Business and the Offshore Manufacturing Sectors. She enjoys the world of finance immensely and is currently pursuing an Accounting designation with ACCA.

Sabrina specialized in Design and Illustration, holding a Graphic Design Degree from the Collage of West Palm Beach in Florida and assists with all of the school’s graphics.
In her free time, she enjoys horse riding, taking her dogs to the beach and having fun with family and friends.
