Hi everyone, I am Lauren and I have twin girls that attend Codrington in PYP2, Lacy and Lola. I was born and raised in Barbados and after spending many years away working in the tour department on cruise ships, I met my husband Lee, who is from the UK, and we now permanently reside in Barbados. In my spare time (what’s that? lol) I enjoy baking, sewing and art. I look forward to being a PTA member over the next year and hope to meet many new friends along the way.

I’m Australian, and have been involved in the mining industry all my finance career – the first 20 years with a major multinational resources company and the last 15 as a business founder. I met my wife, Brenda, some 13 years ago in Chile, where she was posted at the Canadian Embassy in Santiago. Since that time we have lived in various countries – Colombia, Mexico, Canada and Singapore – and brought two wonderful kids into the world – Valentina (9yo in PYP7) and Ethan (7yo in PYP4). We recently moved to Barbados when Brenda was appointed the Canadian High Commissioner. Over the years I’ve enjoyed contributing to various sporting associations and foundations to foster youth development. In addition, I hold a number of directorship, and sit / have sat on various boards and business councils. I’m very much looking forward to applying my “nerdy” accounting qualifications as the new treasurer of the PTA and helping to add value to our school, parents, kids and our broader community.
