1. First Steps
Thank you for our interest in The Codrington School. We encourage you to schedule an appointment to visit our campus and experience the welcoming atmosphere of our school community.
During your visit, you will be introduced to our ethos and exciting approach to learning. You will also have the opportunity to meet the Principal, Mr. Darryl Brown, the relevant Head of School (Head of Primary – Mr. Rob Fuller, Head of Secondary – Ms. Vicky Mayers), view classrooms and see our teachers and students in action!
Upon receiving your Admission Documents, we will invite your applicant to enjoy a Taster Day. The Taster Day is a wonderful chance for the student to enjoy a typical day at school. The student is assigned a buddy who helps them to become familiar with their new surroundings.
Classes at The Codrington School comprise of approximately 15 students per class and we offer one class per grade level. Our small class sizes provides the opportunity students to receive individual student attention and ensures that standards of excellence are maintained.
Student enrollment is available throughout the academic year.
To schedule a school tour, please contact the Director of Admissions, either by emailing or calling the school at +1 246 423 0095.
2. The Application Process
Please provide the Director of Admissions with the following documents. Once all of the documents are received, they are reviewed by our Admissions Team and a Tentative Offer of Acceptance is normally issued. Part of the Admission Process includes a Screening Assessment which is scheduled after receipt of the documents detailed below. After the Screening is completed, the Admissions Team further review the applicant’s file and decide if a Firm Offer of Acceptance is applicable. This process normally takes a maximum of 2 weeks. Once you have received a Firm Offer you have two weeks to confirm your acceptance.
Students are admitted on a first come, first serve basis and only when their previous records and/or screening indicate a high likelihood that they can successfully complete grade level requirements. Admission decisions are made upon review of transcripts, School Recommendation Form, other records, Screening Assessment Placement Tests and, where possible, an interview.
The school reserves the right, at its sole discretion, either to accept or to reject any application for admission. In those cases where an application is rejected, the school is under no obligation to show cause for the non-acceptance of the child concerned.
