In March 2015, 11 students from the Codrington School will travel to Loch Eil in the Scottish Highlands to visit the Outward Bound center. Loch Eil is at the foot of Ben Nevis and many may know it as Harry Potter country as the local area forms part of the filming location of ‘Hogwarts’. During the visit the Codrington students will participate in an intensive week of adventure outward bound activities including, rafting, canoeing, rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, camping in the mountains and much more. Throughout the week a strong onus will be placed on teamwork and developing leadership skills. Students will also be exposed to a range of problem solving and group work tasks that will promote critical thinking skills and communication. This outstanding location and challenging programme will provide the students with an opportunity to develop valuable life skills as well as a guaranteeing a week of adventure.
