The Codrington School - The International School of Barbados

PTA Mission Statement:

The mission of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to partner with the Board, faculty, staff, families and the wider community in Barbados to strengthen, enhance and support the educational and social environment for all children at The Codrington School.

Goals :

  • Enhance communication between parents and the school.
  • Promote activities that build school spirit, encourage family togetherness, and support civic or humanitarian efforts within our community.
  • Encourage and organize volunteer support for school programs and events.

Membership :

The PTA is open to all adult members of The Codrington School community, including parents, the Board, faculty and staff. There are no dues or membership fees required to be in the PTA - all we ask for is your participation and enthusiasm!

Organization :

The PTA is an all-volunteer organization. Individuals offer their time, energy and skills to support different committees, functions and activities. A list of the different leadership positions is provided below.

Meetings

We meet on a monthly basis throughout the school year, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. The dates can be found on the Primary and Secondary school calendars. Everyone is encouraged to participate in PTA activities throughout the year, even if unable to attend monthly meetings.
