Principal and CEO

Originally from Wales, Darryl is married to Milagros and is the father of two children, both of whom attend the school. Darryl began his career as a secondary school teacher in Kenya, but has spent the last nineteen years working in and leading international schools in Kenya, Venezuela and the USA before taking up his current post as Principal in August 2012.

An IB North America workshop leader (Mathematics), academy member and accreditation officer (IB, CIS and AdvancED), Darryl balances his work in education with a passion for rugby; continually trying, and occasionally succeeding, in dispelling the myth that he is too old to play. Darryl speaks English and Spanish.

Head of Secondary

Vicky has a background in the UK secondary and tertiary education sector and entered it as a teacher of Business & Economics. She went on to teach these subjects, in addition to Accounts and Law, across her specialist age group of 14-19. She developed and delivered on both academic and vocational student pathways. She has also been an A-Level examiner and a mentor for those seeking professional qualifications. Having accrued seven years class room practice, she progressed to be part of a whole school senior-management team in a multi-cultural comprehensive secondary school in London catering for 1700 students as an Assistant Head Teacher for over seven years.

Sarah Pepper

Head of Primary

Sarah has spent most of her teaching career in England and Ireland. She has worked in many disadvantaged schools in inner cities and is passionate about engaging students with inquiry-based teaching and learning. Sarah joins us from Dublin where she ran an International Primary School for 8 years. Sarah is an IB workshop leader and enjoys devising and running workshops for teachers and parents alike. Outside school Sarah enjoys playing golf and growing her own veg and is looking forward to having more sun to ripen her crops!.
