Samantha is a British National, Canadian Citizen and Barbadian Permanent Resident. While Barbados has been her home for over 27 years she has had the opportunity to travel extensively across the globe delivering customized service thru her previous involvement in the villa tourism sector - catering to a high end international clientele. For the last 12 years Sam has offered her services throughout the Caribbean as a counselor - providing parenting support, encouraging positive communication skills, grief management and specializes in non directive therapeutic play services. Sam's primary focus is to encourage children to reach their full potential thru developing their self confidence, world view and a strong family unit. Sam a mother of three wonderful children - enjoys horseback riding, paddle boarding, music, painting and adventure!

MYP and DP Science Teacher

Stephanie Brathwaite is an MYP science and the DP Biology teacher and has been an educator for over twenty five years, with most of that time spent in the private sector. She is from Barbados and is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Masters in Education in Testing and Measurement.
She was first introduced to the "IB way of life" while living in Venezuela where her children attended an IB school there. As a parent and an educator she became fully involved and has been passionate about it ever since.
When not in the classroom, she enjoys genealogical research, travelling and singing and has been involved in many choirs in Barbados, including The Cavite Chorale of the University of The West Indies, The Cecilian Singers and the Aeolian Singers. She is currently a member of the St. Cecilia Chorale and the Belle Voci Cantanti Singers.

Jordana Carrington was born in Barbados and has completed school here until the age of eighteen. She continued her studies in Texas at Baylor University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Education, with honors. She was awarded three teaching certificate from the State of Texas, which include teaching English language Learners. During her studies at Baylor University, she completed an educational internship in Australia, where she participated in evaluating educational programmes in Elementary Schools. Before returning to her home in Barbados, she taught 3 years in Texas. Jordana has travelled extensively and enjoys integrating her experiences into her classroom teaching. She is enthusiastically anticipating an exciting future at The Codrington School.

Darren has been teaching Science of all disciplines - Chemistry, Biology and Physics - ever since graduating from his PGCE in 1989. He has therefore been teaching for over 25 years. In that time, he has taught the full range of abilities in the UK and on the International circuit. He has considerable experience in teaching GCSE, A-level, and the IB MYP and DP curricula. He considers his teaching career as a vocation rather than just another job and is a keen follower of the ideals of the International Baccalaureate. His teaching of Science and Chemistry is practically based and inquiry based learning. In his spare time, he is completing his Degree in Computing and IT with the Open University. He also enjoys reading, badminton and other sports.

Chrystal is an established songwriter and arranger, for the Junior Calypso Monarch Competition and has written winning compositions throughout the years. Chrystal has also been a finalist the Pic-O-De-Crop Calypso Competition with self-penned songs which she also produced and mastered in local studios. She worked as sound designer for the Caribbean Development Bank Documentary on Poverty Alleviation in the Caribbean. Chrystal is the PYP music teacher and enjoys working with children and believes that music transcends generations.

Rob was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, where he graduated from Deakin University with a B.Ed., B.App.Sc. (Hons.), and M.App.Sc. in Leadership. Initially he taught at primary and secondary schools in Melbourne, and then lectured at Tertiary level to B.Ed. students. For the past 14 years Rob has been employed at I.B. World Schools in the British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas, where he has held senior management roles and taught PYP at various year levels. Outside of school, Rob’s interests include travel, photography, Caribbean history and culture, and sport. He particularly enjoys watching the Australian rugby team continue their 40-year dominance over the Welsh.

Sabrina specializes in Design and Illustration and holds a Graphic Design Degree from the Collage of West Palm Beach, Florida. For her creativity is a way of life. Fluent Spanish Sabrina is always excited to spread her love for the Spanish language and culture. Her philosophy is that one should never stop learning - there is so much yet to explore! She is passionate about education, knowing it allows students to attain the skills and knowledge necessary to open doors to greater opportunities. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys horse riding, taking her dogs to the beach and having fun with family and friends.

Carla considers herself as a life-long learner, a creative artist and a teacher by heart. She strongly believes in the power and importance of the arts in all children's educational journey. She has previously worked as a photo-editor at a daily newspaper and as a freelanced photographer and visual artist. As a photographer she traveled to many countries in the world and in 1993 she moved to Barbados. Through her daughter, a child with learning difficulties, she became interested and involved in education. Since 2002 Carla has been the art teacher for all students at the school.

Nicola holds a PhD in English in which she specialized in the modern American and Afro-American novel and contemporary theatre. Ana comes to us with more than twenty years of experience teaching Cambridge History and Geography, A-Levels History and Geography and IBDP History in different countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, Bahamas, Nigeria, Malaysia and Singapore which is her second home. Ana have three children who are all educated in International schools and now in different parts of the world to continue their university education. Born and raised in the Philippines from a very peculiar background of a traditional Chinese heritage but with a Spanish sounding family name! Ana has worked extensively with young adults of wide range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds and had enjoyed enormously their enthusiasm to learn new things as well as their thirst for new knowledge has inspired her as a teacher. Ana is greatly inspired to become part of the community of Codrington International School and believes in the values of pursuing high academic excellence in an internationally- minded school where everyone is valued and cared for.

She was a part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Barbados in High School. She completed my Bronze and Silver Award. At present she is on the Award Council, and the Expedition Panel. She is the leader of The Codrington School D.O.E Program.

Tommy is originally from Liverpool, UK. He studied BSc Applied Sports Science at the University of Glamorgan, South Wales. Since becoming a qualified teacher Tommy has spent the last 10 years teaching Physical Education in International Schools in Dubai and Switzerland. He is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that teaching in the Codrington School will bring. Not to mention making the most of the sporting opportunities that Barbados offers.

Luke was born and grew up in rural Suffolk, England. After becoming interested in languages at a young age, he went on to live and study in Paris, France, where he obtained his first degree, in French Studies, from a British university based in the city. He then returned to the UK to train as a teacher and complete his Master’s degree in Education.He has taught in the UK, Turkey and now Barbados and has experience with a variety of curricula including the National Curriculum (England and Wales), IGCSE and IB, though, most importantly, he simply has a passion for languages and education. In his spare time he enjoys learning languages, playing the violin and keeping fit and is looking forward to exploring the outdoor pursuits the island offers.

Ms. Moreno is an experienced and innovative teacher who enjoys the curiosity and enthusiasm of her students. She began teaching Maths in Peru, her home country, where she has been teaching in an IB Diploma Program school for 8 years and has been the Head of Maths and Science during the last two years in Peru. She moved to Canada, a country where she is a citizen, where she led the Maths Department in a PYP and MYP school. In 2015 she went to Brazil to work in an international IB school. Maria is an IB examiner for Mathematics SL. She enjoys traveling and gaining experience in different IB schools around the Americas.

Luz Astrid Rodriguez has been teacher for 10 years. Camille was born in Barbados. She is quite familiar with interacting with individuals from different nationalities from previously working within the airline industry as a passenger service agent. Sarah was born in Nottinghamshire and studied Fashion Product Innovation at University of Creative Arts in Rochester, Kent. She worked as a fashion designer in London for a few years, before completing a Graduate Teaching Training Program at Canterbury Christchurch University in Kent. She taught GCSE and A-levels in Design Technology in Kent. Sarah is excited to be embarking on a new challenge teaching IB at The Codrington School.

Nadine Tull

Nadine's many years of teaching have taken her across cultures from primary to university level, affording her an opportunity to discover a profound love for teenagers and young adults. In her previous capacity as a facilitator of Special Education Services, Nadine held three concurrent positions: Head/Coordinator of the Language and Literacy Department at a secondary school in St. Lucia, MDT Assessor in the Educational Psychology Unit (District 2, Castries) and part-time University Lecturer (Teaching Developmental Reading, English Composition 1&2- emphasis on Research Writing) at the University of the Southern Caribbean. She has also taught English at private institutes across Trinidad and Tobago. Nadine strives to create a well-balanced, informative learning environment that caters to the needs of students operating at every level of the educational spectrum. As a first class honors graduate of the University of the West Indies, she espouses her Theatre in Education/Special Education training with the principles of Educational Psychology to enhance the educational experience of her students.

Born and raised in Canada, Heather has lived in Asia for the past 10 years. She has taught in Beijing and Hong Kong in addition to two years of teaching in Vancouver. She is an experienced PYP and MYP Teacher who is passionate about creating a physical and digital environment where student agency thrives. Heather is enthusiastic to begin her first year teaching the PYP 8 class at the Codrington school.
