1. First Steps
Interested families are encouraged to visit the school and experience the welcoming atmosphere of our campus.
During your visit, you will be introduced to our ethos and exciting approach to learning. You will also have the opportunity to meet the Principal, Mr. Darryl Brown, the relevant Head of School (Head of Primary – Mr. Rob Fuller, Head of Secondary – Ms. Vicky Mayers), view classrooms and see our teachers and students in action!
Taster Day Following your visit to the school, students are invited to return and enjoy a Taster Day. The Taster Day is a wonderful chance for the student to enjoy a typical day. The student is assigned a buddy who helps them to become familiar with their new surroundings.
Classes at The Codrington School comprise of a maximum of 15 students per class and we offer one class per grade level. Our class size promotes the opportunity for individual student attention and ensures that standards of excellence are maintained.
Student enrollment is available throughout the academic year.

2. The Application Process
To start the application process at The Codrington School, the Director of Admissions should be provided with the following list of documents. As soon as all documents have been received, the school will normally be able to confirm an offer within 1 – 2 weeks. As soon as you have received an offer, you will have two weeks to confirm acceptance. This includes paying the reservation fee and returning the signed agreements and medical forms.

Application Fee. This non-refundable fee of USD 400 ensures the processing of the application for admission of a new student or of a student returning after an absence from The Codrington School of one year or longer. This fee can be paid in cash, by cheque, wire transfer or credit card.
Final Report Cards for the Last Three Years – Where the applicant has been in school for three years. Any formal assessments, such as standardized testing results and the findings of any psycho-educational assessments that may have been undertaken by the prospective students are also required. The school operates on the basis of transparency and it is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to bring to the school’s attention at this stage all pertinent information relating to the child’s prior educational history.
- Confidential School Recommendation Form – to be completed by the applicant’s current teacher, Counsellor or School Head. The school recommendation form should be e-mailed directly from the applicant’s current school to the Director of Admissions.

Students are admitted on a first come, first serve basis and only when their previous records and/or screening indicate a high likelihood that they can successfully complete grade level requirements in grades PYP 1 – MYP 5 or, in DP1 and 2. Admission decisions are made upon review of transcripts, teacher recommendations, other records, placement tests and, where possible, an interview.
The school reserves the right, at its sole discretion, either to accept or to reject any application for admission. In those cases where an application is rejected, the school is under no obligation to show cause for the non-acceptance of the child concerned.
